SARDET Bordentown
The Bordentown Search and Rescue Detachment (SARDET) is located at the Bordentown Yacht Club. It has an area of responsibility extending along the Delaware River from the head of tide at Trenton, NJ downstream to Mud Island, just north of the City of Philadelphia. The area covers Burlington and Mercer Counties in New Jersey and Bucks County in Pennsylvania. At other times, the area of responsibility is directed by the USCG Sector Delaware Bay.
Pictured outside of SARDET Bordentown is Richard Wayne, Flotilla 61. SARDET Bordentown is the home for our radio communications and planning routinely used for Safety Patrols and other special events requiring safety measures such as fireworks and boat races. Watch Standers are now standing watch at SARDET Bordentown for the seasonal boating on the Delaware River. Click here to view the 2009 Watch Stander Schedule.
